Ryan joined BTS in January of 2017 and continues to be a student of the personal insurance business, more specifically the High Net Worth Insurance Market. Ryan came to us with strong insurance background after serving clients in both the Commercial and Personal Lines arenas. After a 17 year career as PGA Professional, Ryan began his new career path at Tequesta Insurance Advisors in South Florida. After returning to CT in 2013, he transitioned over to personal lines at Rand Insurance in Riverside, CT as a Private Client Group Advisor. In 2018 Garrity earned a CAPI (Certified Advisor of Personal Insurance) designation via The Aresty Institute at the Wharton School and in 2017 he received one of the first 149 CPRIA designations from the Private Risk Managers Association. After immersing himself in the industry Ryan now co-manages the agency with President, Tim Brown. Ryan and Tim have known each other well since Ryan’s stint at Wee Burn during the summers of 2005 and 2006. Ryan was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, graduated from Allegheny College in 1995, and lives in Rowayton with his wife Pamela and their four children. Ryan currently sits on the 2020 Darien Chamber of Commerce, Board of directors as well as the Darien Board of Education, Long Term Strategic Planning Committee for 2020.
